President Barack Obama apologized on Special Olympic Joke remarks
Many are thrilled when President Barack Obama guested in The Tonight Show with Jay Leno but the casual-funny interview resulted to a slight controversy with his accidental comment offending Special Olympics.
During the interview, Jay Leno talks to Pres. Obama about his latest bowling skills that Obama remarks his scores as "like Special Olympics or something".
With that, Obama called Special Olympics chairman Tim Shriver to apologized about the remark and in a statement there's “in no way intended to disparage the Special Olympics.”
Special Olympics chairman Tim Shriver said, “He expressed his disappointment and he apologized, I think in a way that was very moving.”
