Metro Rail Transit starts 24-hour operations on June 1 (Philippines)
Call centers agents with late night shift and other night workers will now feel more secure as they will get a reliable mode of transportation late at night.
Helping the business process outsourcing (BPO) sector, Metro Rail Transit (MRT-3) will now expand into 24-hour operation starting June 1.
According to transportation undersecretary and MRT-3 general manager Reynaldo Berroya, their study shows that most call center agents were found to leave their offices at around midnight and at 4 a.m. At this period, most buses and jeepneys are in their garages already.
In MRT website, the extended hours from 11:00 p.m. until 5:30 a.m.
Considering it is now a rainy season, commuters can now access safe and easy transportation at night.
