PBA suspends Wynne Arboleda for rest of the 2009-10 season
Burger King veteran guard Wynne Arboleda is definitely in Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) record book as he received a heavy sanction from the league after assaulting a fan during BK Whopper’s game against Smart-Gilas at the Araneta Coliseum last Friday.
Receiving suspension for the rest of the 2009-10 Season without pay, probably the highest sanction given in PBA's history. Arboleda lost P2.73 guaranteed income. That amount does not include bonuses for won games, advancement and player awards.
Arboleda's temper flared up when the fan (Alain Katigbak) continuously cursing him and becomes verbally abusive.
Arboleda admitted that he lost his temper and he issued a public apology to Katigbak.
