Two shoes was thrown to President George W. Bush, farewell gift from Iraq
Outgoing President George W. Bush has another experienced that he will write on his diary.
An Iraqi journalist gave farewell gift to President Bush by throwing/dodging two shoes at him at a news conference.
The shoe attack came as Bush and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki were about to shake hands. The assailant - later identified as television correspondent Muntadar al-Zeidi who leapt from his chair and hurled his footwear at the president.
Throwing a shoe at someone is considered the worst possible insult in Iraq and is meant to show extreme disrespect and contempt. As you remember when Saddam Hussein was kickout of power, Iraqis beat the statue's face of Hussein with their shoes.
Reality check, the incident is a "slap in the face" on the current Iraqi administration and Bush war policy.
