NEDA chief Ralph Recto resigns on his post; preparation for 2010 election
Former Senator Ralph Recto who is currently the director general of National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) announced his resignation from his post effective Aug. 16.
His resignation coincide with his decision to seek an elective post again in 2010 Philippine national elections.
Recto's unpopularity due to the EVAT law which he authored plus his deep ties with Gloria Arroyo's administration caused him to failed his bid for re-election to the senate in 2007.
And now if he decide to run for the Senate seat again, can he regain again the voter's respect?
No doubt that the popularity-celebrity status of his wife-actress and now Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos is still high but Ralph's charm with the voting public is still in doubt and struggling.
Many will agree with me, if he choose to run as a representative in his province (Batangas), possibility of winning is high.
