Be the Happiest Pinoy and Earn P200,000

Even though the economic is down, unemployment is high and most us has a certain problem that were now going through, Filipinos is still considered as one of the happiest people in the world.

Even a calamity or disturbances cannot stop a happy Pinoy, especially when a TV camera catches their attention expect a sweet smile coming from them.

We are not one of the richest countries but we are rich in compassion, faith and determination.

Cebuana Lhuillier Insurance Solutions (CLIS) has launched a campaign Searching for the Happiest Pinoy.

The campaign want to show the resilience of Filipinos amidst crisis and an attitude of having an optimistic outlook, and their notable ability to rise above life's challenges.

Nominations will be accepted from May 5 to September 15. The winners will be announced on October 1, 2009.

The Happiest Pinoy awardee will receive P200,000 and plaque, and the four runners up will get P25,000.00 each with plaque.

A great appreciation that will lift the moral and show how tough we are.

YAHOO! PHILIPPINES TOP SEARCHES OF 2008

Yahoo! has released the top keywords that online users used for searching something on the net specifically in the Philippines. This is what Filipinos are buzzing about and looking for online throughout this year.


They also categorized list with the TOP: Celebrities, TV Shows, Music, News, Our Flavor, Tech/info, Leisure, Byahe (Travel) and Sari-Sari.

Yahoo! Philippines stated, "When Charice Pempengco appeared on the Ellen Degeneres show in December 2007, she became so famous that 12 months later, her name and performances are still being searched on Yahoo! Philippines."

Over 5,000 Playstation 2 Systems Stolen

It will be raining bargain price Sony game consoles in Florida. The Melbourne, Florida police department are investigating a tractor-trailer carrying 28 pallets of Playstation 2 consoles (over 5000 units of Playstation 2) that were stolen. Estimated street value of the stolen goods, about $750,000.

Reportedly, after a long trip over the weekend, the driver slept overnight on Sunday and didn’t realize the truck was gone until he woke up Monday morning.

The thinking thieves were smart enough to disabled the GPS of the truck before they drove it away.

Barack Obama's presidential campaign ads in online games

Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama is making history in using different media tools to reach the young American electorates.

Having no problem in the financial aspect and has a great groups of campaign strategist on his back, Obama is trying all kinds of bridging tools to send his message of change to the young voters.

To reach the 18-34 age bracket who prefers playing online video, Obama bought an advertisement in 18 games of Microsoft Corp's Xbox Live service like "Guitar Hero 3", "The Incredible Hulk" to sports titles like "NASCAR 09," "NBA Live 08" and "NFL Tour.". It is the first presidential campaign ads in online games history.

His banner advertisements appears in games with his image and slogan of “Early voting has begun” and with a link to his VoteForChange.com website. This website allows you to find polling location, acquire absentee and allows user to register online to vote.
