Barack Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize; many are surprised!
It surprising news for US President Barack Obama as he was named the recipient of the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize (October 9). He was chosen by the Norwegian Nobel Committee “for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and co-operation between people.”
I'm an Obama fan but even I were surprise. Maybe it is a show of international support but winning this recognition is another story. Barack haven't prove his self to the American people and the world yet.
Do you know Mahatma Gandhi who done deep sacrifice and made accomplishment never received the Nobel Peace Prize, although he was nominated five times between 1937 and 1948. It only shows the division in opinion on who will received the said award.

Obama's statement on the Nobel Prize, “Let me be clear: I do not view it as a recognition of my own accomplishments, but rather as an affirmation of American leadership on behalf of aspirations held by people in all nations. To be honest, I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many of the transformative figures who’ve been honored by this prize.”His win has started heated debate for many people worldwide. Some people are now saying "so soon? too early" and "What have he done to deserve it?"
