Rafael Nadal Wins Wimbledon 2010; Eighth Major Title

Rafael Nadal took home his eighth Grand Slam after winning the Men’s Singles Final against Czech Republic’s Tomas Berdych at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships held at All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Sunday (July 4).

The 24 year-old Spanish tennis champ beat Berdych in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5, 6-4, to reclaim the Wimbledon title which he first won in 2008.

He just need few more to achieved Roger Federer’s record and Nadal is deeply focus to get the US Open

"For sure I'm going to keep working to try to be in the U.S. Open finally ready to try to win," Nadal said. "For sure the U.S. Open is going to be one of my goals for the rest of my career."

Pacquiao defeats Clottey via UD

Pound-for-pound king Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao retains his World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title as he defeated Joshua "The Grand Master" Clottey in front of more than 50,000 boxing fans at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Pacquiao shows his speed and punished Clottey with combinations to the body throughout the fight. The Gnana warrior failed to match Pacquiao's flexibility and he just kept his guard high and threw few punches.

At the end of the fight, the three judges Levi Martinez, Nelson Vasquez and Duane Ford scored a Unanimous Decision: 120-108, 119-109, 119-109.

Nodar Kumaritashvili Fatal accident (Video - Vancouver Winter Olympics)

Here's the clip of the horrible tragedy happened to Georgian luger Nodar Kumaritashvili, who died during a luge run practice which is just hours before the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.

Kumaritashvili died after he slides off the track (moving at 88 miles per hour) and crashed hitting a steel pole at the Whistler Sliding Center.

Kumaritashvili is the fourth competitor to die at the Winter Games, all in training, and the first since 1992.

PBA suspends Wynne Arboleda for rest of the 2009-10 season

Burger King veteran guard Wynne Arboleda is definitely in Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) record book as he received a heavy sanction from the league after assaulting a fan during BK Whopper’s game against Smart-Gilas at the Araneta Coliseum last Friday.

Receiving suspension for the rest of the 2009-10 Season without pay, probably the highest sanction given in PBA's history. Arboleda lost P2.73 guaranteed income. That amount does not include bonuses for won games, advancement and player awards.

Arboleda's temper flared up when the fan (Alain Katigbak) continuously cursing him and becomes verbally abusive.

Arboleda admitted that he lost his temper and he issued a public apology to Katigbak.

Manny Pacquiao was misguided in the "misunderstanding issue" with Solar

UPDATE: Boxing Champ Manny Pacquiao was misguided. The video statement of transfer to ABS-CBN weren’t supposed to be released.

In his latest interview, the Pacman said that their is a deal with him and ABS-CBN that they will just air the said announcement of transfer if it was proven that Solar has failed to do his part of the contract (financial obligations) but ABS-CBN aired the said clip.

Pacquiao's also reveals that the statement that he delivered in the video was written by the lawyers of ABS-CBN without his own lawyer at his side.

Definitely, there are some people around Pacquiao who wants to misguide him and earn some commissions.

Boxing's Pound for Pound Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao has decided to returned and honor his commitment to Solar Entertainment Corporation after they came into terms on their misunderstanding on Solar's exclusive rights in airing Pacquiao's fights.

The problem started when Pacquiao decided to have a new media partner which is ABS-CBN.

It seems ABS-CBN had made unethical move that even though Pacquiao is reportedly the one who approached them, ABS-CBN decided to signed an agreement with the champ.

ABS-CBN knows that Pacquaio has a contract with Solar, so in just one click when Pacquiao decided yesterday that he would no longer back out in his contract, ABS-CBN has agreed with Pacqiao's decision without countering the decision.

ABS-CBN knows that they will loss this battle.

Not as smooth as his previous fight but he continue his winning form. Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire defended and retained his International Boxing Federation (IBF) flyweight title with a sixth-round technical knockout of Moruti Mthalane (South Africa) at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino.
